The car guy carless?

Today's topic deals with the fact that me, the car guy, will be carless for two years.  Now at first glance this seems tragic but when you evaluate the situation, I have to agree that this is the only option.  You see there are 1.3 billion people in China, 24 million of which are in the shanghai area. In adddition, there are 450 million bicycles in China and over 100 million cars, this makes for very crowded roads.  This coupled with the fact that Shanghai has just installed a metro system which rivals that of New York City's and the fact that a taxi from one end of Shanghai to the other costs only approx $2; means that having a car is really not a good option.  I will have a car and driver to get me to and from work and I am sure we will work out the best way to get around at other times.  As you can see from the picture below, this will be a truely unique experience.
